About Us :
WHO ARE FOSTER CHILDREN?
Foster children are children who have been removed from
their home because of physical or sexual abuse, neglect, or
abandonment. Foster children are "normal" children
plus more. They are much like your children, nieces or
nephews, but with very different experiences. They are
frequently filled with anger, confusion, fear, and a sense of
powerlessness because they've been removed from the only home
they have known.

Terri
Cares, Inc. is
a nonprofit agency that has been providing foster
care and group home services for abused and neglected
youth in our community since 1988. Founded by Terri
Rivas, our program provides shelter, job search, seminars,
workshops and much much more for those between the ages of 17 and 21.
